A word from D.D.
I've built Faithful Purpose because I lived what burnout really costs. In the middle of caretaking, a demanding career, and running on empty, I turned to God and asked God to show me how to restore myself. What I found was stillness, prayer, reconnecting with my faith, all of which became the foundation for this app. I built it so you don't have to wait until you're depleted to find your way back to yourself.
That's why I built a faith-based Self-Care mentor, not just another wellness app — because real restoration is Self-Care, rooted in faith.
That season also gave me clarity about the world I'd already spent my life in. For over 30 years, I've worked in Social Services, across non-profit and private sectors, housing every population you can imagine, through some of the hardest seasons of people's lives. I know the Social Services housing field inside and out, where people are living through real fight-or-flight circumstances just to survive in New York City. I've seen the high turnover, the being understaffed more often than not, the wearing three job titles when you were hired for one. I've seen people run on empty trying to hold up systems that were never given enough support to begin with.
I'm driven to see real progress, real results, not just good intentions. Over three decades, I've shown up for directors, co-workers, supervisors, clients, and my family alike, because I couldn't do anything less. This app exists for the people who spend their days holding everyone else up. It's a space to walk with God, to acknowledge your own true value and worth, to find your footing again, and to grow a faith strong enough to carry you confidently into your purpose.
Faithful Purpose isn't a replacement for professional care. It's a steady companion, walking beside you in the quiet moments between everything else you carry. It's my way of showing up for you now.
